Recycling Workshops

Today Warren Wood pupils welcomed back Philip Hunton from the company Green Up Your Act Education. This second recycling workshop taught us about how important it is to recycle plastics so that they do not get into our seas and oceans and pollute them.

We learnt how dangerous plastic is for birds, fish and other marine creatures and to remind us of this we created fish from recycled materials. These are on display in our KS1 corridor.

Young Journalist Lewis also interviewed Philip about his work teaching young people how to behave responsibly with the earth’s resources and this piece to camera will be included in a longer film about the life of the school which will be screened for parents in April as part of our Easter Showcase.
