  To celebrate Red Nose day this year, school is inviting all children to come to school in their pyjamas on Friday 15th March.

  Of course this is optional and the children are welcome to come in their school uniform if they prefer.

  We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March and children are welcome to come to school as their favourite book character or in their uniform as normal if they prefer.

   

  We will be holding a book sale, if you can, please send in 50p with your child if you would like them to purchase a book.

• Sensory Processing Training

  The website (linked below) is available as a supporting resource and the training events are available to anyone who has a Lincolnshire GP.  The website includes information on how we process sensory information and its effect on how we are able to participate in everyday tasks and activities; for example, this can mean problems paying attention in class or problems coping with things like going to the dentist, hairdressers, meal-times, etc.  It helps to identify sensory stimuli and provides advice on managing challenges in everyday life and includes guidance on techniques that can help families to understand and support children with sensory differences.  In addition, there are more workshops available to book to support parents, carers, and professionals who support children and young people with sensory differences and is limited to families registered with a Lincolnshire GP.  Under the 'Training' section, there are the latest dates for workshops.

• UpRising! Inclusive Choir

  Lincolnshire Music Service is launching a new Inclusive Choir.  The UpRising! Inclusive Choir is a musical community without barriers for people of all ages and all abilities, with a focus on giving a voice to people with severe and profound learning disabilities.  Their ethos is "a belief that everybody deserves to have a voice.  Rather than focusing on what people can't do, we want to emphasise what they can do.  We believe that people with severe and profound learning disabilities, including autism, should have a life full of expression, passion, and enjoyment.  To enable this to happen, we aim to educate, support, and empower all those in our community.  That's why we use sound to enable people with learning disabilities to express themselves, connect with others, and feel the warmth of music."

   

  All sessions are free and welcome people of all ages and their families.  The Choir celebrates that everyone has their own way of sharing their voice - making sounds or movements, using instruments or sound-makers.

   

  Sessions will be mix of online and face-to-face (YMCA Showroom, Tritton Road, Lincoln), in partnership with soundabout.

• Little Victories in the Community - Cerebral Palsy and Frame Football

  Cerebral Palsy and Frame Football is coming to North Lincolnshire. Little Victories in the Community, in joint collaboration with Barton Inclusive Football Club, Lincolnshire FA and Cerebral Palsy Sport, are pleased to share information about their sessions starting Saturday 5th March 2022 12-1pm at Baysgarth Leisure Centre, Barton-upon-Humber.  The sessions will be hosted in an indoor sports hall, with FA qualified coaches leading the football activity. The venue has a viewing gallery for parents and carers to watch and enjoy, whilst also having some social space and refreshments available before and after the sessions to help create a friendly and sociable environment. The sessions are aimed at welcoming players aged 8-18 years of age, with all abilities and experience levels welcome. The sessions will focus on fun, enjoyment and football skills whilst also supporting friendship and positive emotional wellbeing. Little Victories encourage any parent or carer to complete the online form (which should take around a minute to complete):
